The story of retired U.S. teacher Ronald Sakolsky and Yin Yuzhen, a Chinese woman dedicated to combating desertification, has gone viral, reflecting the power of ordinary people in tackling global climate change, and cementing the bond between the two countries.

Global People, a magazine affiliated to People's Daily, have provided follow-up reporting on this matter. Mr.Sakolsky and Ms.Yin became cover figures of Global People in early September.

“Through what channels can I purchase Global People magazine in the US?” Some American netizens left messages on the WeChat official account of Global People. Someone else also commented that they would like to read this set of reports in foreign languages.

Mr. Sakolsky also brought the magazine back to the United States and expressed his gratitude for Global People’s thorough reporting on his Chinese story.
