Legoland Shanghai to begin trials and previews ahead of grand opening

The Legoland Shanghai Resort, soon to be the world's largest Legoland theme park, has completed its project handover and will launch internal testing and trial operations starting from May 31.

As part of the final pre-opening phase, selected guests and holders of the limited "1st-to-Play" annual pass and "1st-to-Stay" hotel package will gain early access to the park's themed attractions, restaurants, retail outlets, performances, and hotel amenities. The process will also help test the facilities ahead of the official opening on July 5.

Among the park's signature attractions is the world's first Big Lego Coaster, where riders soar through a landscape of towering Lego Minifigures, and the 60-meter-high Legoland Observation Tower, which offers sweeping views of the entire resort.

At the heart of the park lies Miniland, a signature Legoland attraction featuring Lego-built replicas of iconic landmarks from around the world. Visitors can also embark on a themed boat ride through intricate Lego recreations of famous Chinese cities and attractions.

The global debut of "Shanghai Dreamscapes," an original interactive show exclusive to the park, will also be staged at Miniland. Led by "Brick Suit Girl," a renowned Lego master builder, the performance takes the audience on a vivid journey through Shanghai's evolution from traditional neighborhoods to a vibrant global metropolis.

Also premiering globally is the highly anticipated "Lego Monkie Kid" live show, featuring 13 professional puppeteers and a massive 3.7-meter Bull Demon King puppet. The production blends large-scale stage props with dynamic projection effects for an epic theatrical experience.

Located just steps away from the park, the Legoland Hotel offers family-friendly amenities that continue the adventure, including themed play zones, interactive Lego features, and daily children's entertainment.

Tailored for families with children between the ages of 2 and 12, the Legoland Shanghai Resort features eight themed areas with over 75 interactive rides, shows, and attractions. The resort also boasts thousands of Lego models built from over 85 million Lego bricks.
