Originating from the tea cake of Yongding Caishantang, Yongding Wanying Tea is renowned in Yongding district, Longyan city, Fujian province, as well as in regions like Fujian, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. It has been recognized as a national-level intangible cultural heritage representative item under the category of traditional medicine.
The Caishantang tea cake was invented during the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) by Lu Fushan, who used his 30 years of clinical experience to perfect the formula. This tea is created from Yongding's high-mountain tea leaves along with more than 30 traditional Chinese medicinal herbs like clove, fennel, cardamom, sandalwood, and cinnamon, all processed through a meticulous method involving over 100 steps and unique traditional techniques.
Yongding Wanying Tea is known for its numerous health benefits, including its ability to dispel wind, invigorate the spleen and stomach, and eliminate phlegm and dampness. It is particularly effective for treating conditions like colds, abdominal pain due to food stagnation, vomiting, diarrhea, and bloating.
With its remarkable efficacy and portability, Yongding Wanying Tea has become an indispensable daily essential for overseas Chinese communities.
