The photography exhibition themed “Harmony Between Humanity and Nature” has opened on December 20 in Geneva, Switzerland, offering an evocative visual dialogue on ecological coexistence. Curated by photographer Wang Jianbo, the exhibition brings together compelling works by four photographers from China and Greece, capturing moments where human life and the natural world meet in balance.

Rooted in traditional Chinese philosophy and central to China’s path of modernization, the idea of harmony with nature is vividly expressed through these images. From sweeping landscapes to intimate human-nature interactions, the photographs reflect a shared global concern for environmental protection and sustainable development.

As 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland, Geneva—an international hub of cultural exchange—provides a fitting stage for this exhibition. Visitors from diverse backgrounds paused to reflect on the images, many noting how the works conveyed China’s commitment to ecological stewardship and the universal value of living in balance with nature.

The exhibition will run for one week, accompanied by cultural exchange activities that further deepen cross-cultural understanding of sustainability and shared responsibility for the planet.
